Now Google Gemini Allow Users to Use Google Search to Double-Check AI Generated Information

Now Google’s Gemini AI users can re-check and verify the content’s authenticity generated by the chatbot via Google search. When Gemini AI responds to a query, users can double-check the information given in the AI-generated content by using the search engine i.e. Google.

Gemini has included a Google toggle right below the AI-generated content named “double-check response”, which can immediately re-check the content’s authenticity generated by Gemini AI. This advantage can be used on both the mobile application and the web edition of Gemini AI.

Measure the Credibility of Google’s Gemini AI

Google says, “The double-check response option helps you measure the reliability of Gemini’s statement through Google Search to find similar or different content.”

For easy understanding, the cross-check classifies statements into three dissimilar colors. Text highlighted in green recommends that Google search content similar to the AI-generated information and add a link to it.

Likewise, if the text is showing orange, it means that Google did not find related content. At last,  if part of the text is not highlighted, it means there are not many details on the web related to the AI-generated content to assess it.

Depending on the verified response generated by Gemini AI, it could include information similar to the generated response, and a section of the response might not be related, with no such details available on the web via Google.

Large language models such as Gemini AI are known to have problems like creating inaccurate information, which can affect the reliability of their response. Google has included a cross-checking feature using the Google search engine with the Gemini chatbot, which makes it simple to double-check the correctness of the AI-generated content.
